I'm not saying they're bad or a waste of time, btw. I'm saying if you're time constrained and want to improve overall performance/looks, you should swap the curls for pul-ups. If someone's rectifying a weakness or significant imbalance, then they should do isolated arm work. But for the most part | leave it as an optional-activity (active rest day, or at the end of an actual workout) so people that like them can get them in.
